17th Annual Major League Baseball Youth Academy Celebrity Golf Invitational

 On Monday November 10, sponsors, invited guests, and celebrities, came together in beautiful Newport Beach, CA for the 17^th Annual Major League Baseball Youth Academy Celebrity Golf Invitational, which was co-hosted by Torii Hunter and Gary Mathews Jr. The golf tournament served as a fundraiser to support the MLB Youth Academy in Compton, a state-of-the-art facility featuring 4 fields and a 12,000 sq ft clubhouse, which has served over 10,000 young men and women in Southern California. Youth Academy members Miles and James Clark reflected on their experience and the impact of the program during the call to carts. The day consisted of breakfast at the course, Mike Phillips performing the national anthem to kick off the golf tournament, a silent auction, and a post awards ceremony.
